Apple In The News
Apple, Mac, & iPhone News...

November 18th, 2009

Happy Wednesday, all,

Lots of good little Apple tidbits floating aroud on the world wide web today--we put the most interesting together here for your instant enjoyment.

Black Friday Approaches!!
Of course, this is all rumor and conjecture, but we love it. Just the thought of up to thirty percent off iPods and up to twenty five percent off all Macs make our heads spin. We know, it's such a huge diference from last year when everything's coming up roses for the Cupertino crew, but still...we can dream, can't we?

Even if the rumor is bogus, you can count on some sort of discount from out friends at Apple for the fast approaching holiday season. They'll give you a little something, and get you to buy a lot more. Like ya do. Maybe the sales will bring in enough revenue to cover the three million dollars woth of iPhones that were...

STOLEN IN BELGIUM!
Seiously. Almost four thousand of them. And from the way they were stolen, Belgian officials are suspecting it was an inside job...the robbers got up onto the roof and cut a hole in the ceiling directly over the phones.

Yeah, we'd say that someone knew what was going down.

The phones were on their way to the one and only seller in the country, and if anything kills an exclusivity deal it's not actually having the product to sell. No that the bad guys will be selling thse either--the Belgians are quite the organized and efficient bunch, and all the serial numbers have been noted and blocked from accessing the cell network. So no Black Friday/Black Market steals and deals there.

And if the iPhone is worth that much to thieves, imagine what the Apple tablet will garner when it hits the scene.

New Tablet "News"
Speaking of the devil--and we're pretty sure it might be at this point--Apple's apparently looking for a jack-of-all-trades game designer. "For what?," you ask? Well...you know what we think.

Here's the link so you can see we're not making it up...

Apple wants someone to develop games. Apple has a billion third party developers making games already. So it follows that Apple wants someone in house because they'll have total control not just over the process but over the secrecy thereof. Interesting, isn't it?

Any other reasons that job posting could be up? Tell us on Twitter... Till tomorrow, Newsies...
